Entering the holiday season looks different for each of us. No matter where you are on your journey this holiday season, consider making space for gratitude. Dr. Laurie Santos, professor at Yale and expert on happiness explains: “there is evidence that if you regularly engage in a practice of gratitude, if you take time to experience things that you are thankful for, you wind up feeling better, you wind up self-reporting more positive emotions and deeper satisfaction with life.”
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to express my gratitude for the community that I have connected with through fertility coaching. I am blown away by the strength, vulnerability, and resilience I witness each day. It inspires me to continue to process my own fertility story and heal parts of myself that I didn’t know I could access. I had the absolute privilege of meeting so many incredible women and couples this week at the American Fertility Expo and I am touched by the warmth I felt from the participants and industry professionals.
Here are some ways to incorporate gratitude into your routine:
Gratitude journal: Write down three things you’re grateful for each day.
Verbal appreciation: Make it a habit to say “thank you” often and sincerely.
Gratitude meditation: Meditate and reflect on the things you appreciate.
Reframe challenges: Focus on what a difficult experience taught you.
List what you have: Make a list of resources, relationships, or opportunities you’re grateful for.
Ask yourself today “What am I grateful for?”
I would be delighted to hear from you! Reply and share what you are grateful for or how it feels to make space for gratitude.
Sending love and hugs,
